JOB DESCRIPTION:

Kaleidescape is seeking an experienced control systems engineer to drive the design and development of a wide range of control systems programs. Control systems support is key to Kaleidescape's goal of providing the ultimate entertainment experience to its customers. Touch panel template designs must be elegant, intuitive and complete. Programs, to be integrated by A/V installers, should be correct, simple, modular, well-tested, and bug-free.

Successful candidates will be hands-on, capable of working independently, and able to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision. Expert-level AMX and Crestron programming skills are a must. Programming experience with other control systems, such as Vantage, Elan, URC, RTI, Control4 and Savant, is a big plus. A minimum of 2 years of design and programming experience is required. Candidate must demonstrate good programming discipline including quality control and version control procedures.

Control systems engineers have major impact on our user interface. Therefore, the candidate must have experience in user interaction design and a strong understanding of usability principles.

Some travel may be required. This job also requires substantial interaction with customers, dealers and partners, to collect requirements and product information. Rapid response to dealer support inquiries is a must.

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or beyond) in computer science, electrical engineering or similar is desired.
  • Crestron Certified Programmer and AMX Certified Expert (ACE) certification desired.
  • CTS or CEDIA certification desired.
